Digital Encryption Standards

DES is the Data Encryption Standard, it provides a computing industry standard method of encrypting communications. RSA is a method of encrypting data like DES, but it also allows for the creation of digital signatures. RSA is named after it's inventors: Rivest, Shamir and Adleman.
